Both Kim and I teach classes on Sunday but he is the best teacher and he has the cutest class. The lesson was on being honest and the 2,000 stripling warriors. He made them headbands and swords. Even the girls loved the swords. He gives them little suckers, dum dums, as a reward for good behavior. Missing today was a cute boy and twin girls. Can you imagine 3 more with swords? We gave them to them at the very end.
The girl in the blue dress said the cutest thing, I took her to the bathroom and even though there is a stool in there by the sinks she could not reach the soap dispenser so I would put it on my hand and then wipe it on hers. This Sunday she was so excited because she could reach it!
The girl in the pink sweater is my favorite. She is so quiet but she is so smart. When we were in the bathroom she had a ink stamp on her hand and I said where did you do to get a hand stamp? She said something I could not understand so I asked again and I still could not understand and a older girl who was at the paper towel holder said, "She said Lagoon." Then I asked her about Lagoon and her face just lit up and she talked and talked about it.
The boy in the striped green shirt has a hard time coming but I think he is so cute and he tries so hard. He has some behavioral issues so he is the best he can be right now. We have got him to stay in the class room and not be under the table and stay on his chair for a lot of the time. He can make you work up a sweat. He has a picture that he likes and when I give it to him and he looks at it and stays still. His mom and dad are so appreciative of Kim and I that they made up these huge cinnamon rolls last Sunday and brought them to us while they were still hot. Oh man, were they good!
"Today I will behave as though this day is the one by which I shall be remembered."

I discovered the joy of the CriCut
I made this cool sign for our garage for Kelsi's birthday using the CriCut.
To watch it work is an amazing thing.
I made this huge sign to hang from the second story railing at school advertising a fund raiser that the girls basketball team was holding at McDonald's.
They donated 20% of their profits that night and the girls made over $600.00!!
One forgotten football post
Look at those mountains, blue skies and white clouds.
Our boys look good in their blue uniforms and gold helmets.
I have held plenty an umbrella at a sporting event coming from Washington......
but what really surprises me is how many umbrella's I see at sporting events here in Utah to block the sun!
Logan's last football game
It's Logan's last football game. We have been blessed with good weather the whole season. Today's game at Provo High school. We enjoyed the scenery on the way down there.
. Nice fall day!
When we got there it was hot, we sat looking into the sun and it was 89 degrees
The season went fast.
He played well, he only got a little hurt. He had 2 friends get real hurt, BT and Kaden.
They won about as many as they lost
Kelsi came to every game with us.
We were blessed by Faith and Kyle's kindness. They came to all but one game!

Always think of cute blog posts.....
I always think of cute blog posts........when I am at work!
By the time I get home, all is forgotten.
I turned the corner at work. I like it now!
It is not so busy that I can't keep up.
I know what to expect each hour...
I can give good customer service......to all, even the snotty students who can't say please.
I am on a routine with my house cleaning, finally, bathrooms on Wednesday, vacuuming on Thursday. Then the Saturday I can mop. I always do laundry, if I am home the machine is running.
The principal called me into his office and asked that we try and reduce our paper usage 20%. He sent out an email and the teachers have been trying. One way is they are making class sets of the questions and the kids have to use their own notebook paper to answer the questions. I remember doing it this way when I was in school. This is an example, every day I use 2 boxes of paper (20 reams)and probably 5 reams of color paper. Because color paper is more by the box by about 7-10 dollars, if I can reduce color copy paper by one ream a day, I can save 220.00 a month. Right now we spend 18,000 a year on paper. So right there it is 10% saving.
This is the funny part and how will I tell this to the principal.......
Every month the copy technicians come to read all our copiers total copies made. They do this at all the places they service the machines. I said to him I want you to graph the highest number of copies and the amount of times you are at the schools on a chart and I bet I make the most copies and you are here the least.
He came in today and said I won for the most copies made by all their machines. I even beat Lone Peak High School.
(but how can I tell the principal that, it proves what he said about us making too many and waste)
My son, Colby who we thought was done with college had to go back to Central Wa University in Ellensburg for one more semester. This will be his 6th year! And no he is not a doctor! He left his dog with us and that was weird at first but better now. He will be done right after Thanksgiving. And I thought I could finally have all my kids here for that holiday. He is back taking freshman classes making up for the ones he had to drop when he had mono and was so sick and had to come home to get better.

It's almost payday!
I have wanted to quit this new job twice.
I have written on my calendar...You will not quit you can do this.
I have texted Kim I can't do this.
I have said when payday comes this better be worth it.
(I have feared it would not be.)
I went on Alpine School District and looked at my first check. It's not deposited yet but I can see the amount.
Thankfully, I think it will be worth it.
Number One reason: they pay a month behind, while that is all good in the month of June as I sit in my house, do yard work, relax I get a paycheck at the end of that month......but to wait until the end of Sept to get money you worked for in August.......
Number Two reason: getting up at 5:15 is really early and now the sun is not up as I am........
Number Three reason: It's only 2 more hours a day than I used to work how can I be this tired.......
Number Four reason: I qualified for the second pay raise (based on hours worked) just as I was starting this job and I wanted to see how much more it was (it took 3 years)
And in Westlake Blue.......... 2 stories:
I check in the shipments and we got a shipment of towels with the name of our school on them ordered by the drill team advisor. She came down to get them and I pulled one out of the box and waved it around and said , "It's a rally towel." She said, "That's a good idea we will advertise them as rally towels when we sell them."
Funny.....that"s what they are called in the sports world. And I know that!
Students stop by all the time to ask me to photocopy their homework. I had just made one of my drawers in my office a snack drawer for my kids. They both came in and there was one friend with them named Kate. A small, quiet talking girl shuffled in and asked me to copy her written paper. I said sure but she had to wait for a minute. My kids were all talking about the snacks and I said you need to offer one to Kate as they were choosing what they wanted. They little girl who was waiting said "Me?" I said, "No those are my two kids down there and I was talking to them. Then as my machine jammed and I was already annoyed I thought yea sure I'll just hand out snacks to everyone like you? So I shouldn't have but I said, "Is your name Kate?" and she said, "No." (So I guess I was not talking to you.) ( I thought that)

On A Beautiful Summer's Day
My sister who lives in Texas came to Utah for a summer vacation. She came down to our town and we got to spend a day with her and her family. We went to a splash pad and it was so fun to watch her kids play there. We played at the park, brought up toys from the basement, borrowed a high chair and ate a nice dinner. It was a fun day. The pictures make me smile. There is no need for captions under them!
