4 tens????

Summer is almost over
Soon the days will be shorter and the snow will fall

the halls are empty now...but not for long

Many people work 4 ten hour shifts in a work week..... I do not see how they do it, experienced it, did not like it. But it's done....all new students in and class lists made.
The best phone call of the day-If we bought school supplies can we bring them in now? Or should we wait until school starts?
Well, since you don't know who your students teacher is how about you wait until school starts.

Aren't they the cutest?

What else do you do at the end of summer? When it's been a long, hot boring day?
I opened my door to a few of my "old" young women. Just out playing around. One of them is leaving to attend SUU next week. I miss them.....they are just so cute.

Running away from my house.....went onto visit other "old" YW leaders.

Made 2 cute aprons for 2 cute friends

Janine wanted a pattern of my aprons so I not only gave her the pattern but made one for each of them. I picked out the fabric and then switched who was getting what and it worked out. They were made for them!

A great visit with friends

Faith, Denise and I went to Springville to see Janine's cute town, Springville. We visited and admired Janine's house and yard. It was beautiful. As an added bonus, Janine's mom, Thelma was just leaving when we got there and we got to see her. She taught us while we were growing up and baked us cookies. We went to best place for lunch named Magleby's. They are famous for their chocolate cake and I see why. They bring it at the start when they bring out rolls. We could not resist the cake and ate it first! It was a great visit and marks the end of summer. Denise teaches and starts soon. Janine works in a high school office and starts after her little trip and I start Monday. A funny thing happened while we were eating... both Janine and I got calls from our schools.

Quest to get trampoline fixed

I went on a quest to get our poles fixed that holds the net around the trampoline.
I started in American Fork where I had seen a sign that said trampolines fixed here. They do not fix the poles. I saw a welding shop farther down the street in American Fork. It was here that I was told about a small shop without a sign in Lehi with I was told "the nicest man who can help you named Brent Shephard" I was drawn a bad map with a gas station to use as a landmark.
As I drove up and down Lehi on State Street I could not find it so I stopped and asked, a nice man knew who I was talking about and turned me around and I headed back east.

Still could not find it so I stopped again at another little shop. A man helped me again and gave me the best directions and I found it.

This is the old house that sits next to the shop. It was actually moved from across the freeway to here and it was cute. A family actually lived in this small house. That little door on the right was the one I had to go in to find Brent. Kinda scary.

This is the shop I was looking for. The man in here has quite a reputation. Everyone knew of him. After meeting him I see why. He was so nice. But notice no sign or nothing.

This is Brent Shephard working on my new trampoline poles.
He did not want to charge me but I paid him anyway!

I thought the piles of steel with the old buildings made the prettiest picture.

It's been here awhile.

Logan getting into his fixed trampoline.

Look how happy he is.

How cool it would be someday to be like Brent

and have my reputation

and who I am be a good one!
